OC Rescue Mission Offers Opportunities to Make a Difference
Every first and third Saturday of the month, the Orange County Rescue Mission provides family-friendly opportunities to make a difference in the lives of residents. On the first Saturday of the month, volunteers assist with the Chili Van Outreach program. For this opportunity, volunteers meet at the Village of Hope to help load vans with hot chili, bread, coffee and juice. They then follow the Chili Van to an outreach location where they help to provide hot meals to homeless individuals.
On the third Saturday of the month, volunteers can assist with The Village of Hope Campus. Volunteers meet at the Village of Hope to assist with assembling food boxes, assembling hygiene kits, preparing and serving meals in the community kitchen and assisting in gardening and cleaning up the grounds.
The Orange County Rescue Missions ?Village of Hope? is located at 1 Hope Drive in Tustin. Volunteer opportunities take place every first and third Saturday of the month between 9:00 am and noon. Children must be at least 10-years-old to volunteer on-campus and volunteers between the ages of 10 and 16 require adult supervision.
