Newport Knolls is a condo community in Newport Beach, a coastal city in southern California, known for its large, boat-filled harbor. It is in a central location, with nearby schools of Coastline Community College Newport Beach Center, and Pacifica Christian High School. It is not far from Balboa Peninsula, which has 2 piers (Newport Beach Pier and Balboa Pier) plus the Balboa Fun Zone, an old-school amusement park with a Ferris wheel and ocean views. Local beaches include the Wedge, known for its big waves, and Corona del Mar State Beach. The Orange County Museum of Art exhibits modern and contemporary works.
Public & Private Institutions Of Learning
Education is provided by public, private and home schools. State governments set overall educational standards, often mandate standardized tests for K–12 public school systems and supervise, usually through a board of regents, state colleges, and universities. Funding comes from the state, local, and federal government. Private schools are generally free to determine their own curriculum and staffing policies, with voluntary accreditation available through independent regional accreditation authorities, although some state regulation can apply.
