Bride World Expo Coming to Orange County on June 11th

Bride World is coming to Orange County, providing brides throughout the region the opportunity to view dresses and other bridal accessories in preparation for the big day.

Bringing All of the Experts to One Place

At Bride World, you have the opportunity to compare 150 bridal salons, photo booths, florists, disc jockeys, photographers, cake bakers, wedding coordinators, wedding venues in one place. You also get to view a seemingly endless supply of invitations, custom invitation options, vintage décor, tuxedos, hotels, romantic honeymoon destinations and so much more. The expo also showcases live bands, musicians and vocalists.

Those who are shopping for the first time should allow themselves two hours to collect as much information and literature from each vendor as possible. You can also register with a local gift registry while at the event and you can audition entertainers, all at your own pace.

Fashion Show and Grooms Contest

Two Fashion Shows will take place at the event, one at noon and the other at 2:00 pm. At this event, national designers and local salons preview their latest styles, this season’s must-have accessories and the most popular colors. The presentations also feature stylized choreography and lively music. Seating for the events is made available 30 minutes prior to each presentation, with time allowed before the show for showcasing entertainers and disbursing prizes. Seating is limited.

In addition to the Fashion Show, the runway is also used for the Groom’s Contest. During this event, grooms-to-be are invited to strut their stuff on the runway to win cash and prizes.

Learn the Ropes

To help with making the wedding process as smooth as possible, local wedding coordinators provide planning seminars designed to get you started in the right direction with the planning process. The free seminars will also highlight common pitfalls while answering your toughest questions. Meanwhile the “Shopping Guide” will provide you with a list of the day’s activities, a schematic floor plan and a list of participating vendors. It will also contain unique coupons that you can use to help you save on your wedding planning. This program is available upon check-in at the Expo.

To help to make your experience as simple as possible, each registered couple also receives eight contact labels. These labels, which contain the information that you provided at registration, will be printed for you at the expo. You can then peel and stick these labels when you choose to sign a vendor guestbook, to request a follow-up call or email or to complete a registration form. This way, you do not have to write your name, mailing address, email address and wedding date over and over again as you work your way through the event. You have to register online at least 24 hours before the event to receive the labels.

Win Great Prizes and Enjoy Exhibitor Giveaways

In addition to enjoying the convenience of having so many vendors together in one place, you also have the opportunity to win great prizes and enjoy fabulous exhibitor giveaways while at the event. Just by simply attending one of the fashion shows, all participants become eligible to win from an array of wedding planning giveaways. By visiting with the companies and other exhibits at the expo, couples can register for additional prizes and promotional items.

Each couple also receives a department store style shopping bag provided by event sponsors. Your challenge during the event is to fill it up with product samples, coupons and exhibitor information before you are done shopping for the day.

The Orange County Bridal Show takes place Sunday, June 11th from 10:00 am until 4:00 pm at the Orange County Fair Event Center, which is located at 935 Arlington Drive in Costa Mesa. The cost is $12 for general admission or $6 if tickets are purchased in advance online. Parking is $8.
