Wellness Wednesdays at SOCO and The OC Mix
Wellness Wednesdays take place at SOCO and The OC Mix on the second Wednesday of every month, with upcoming events taking place on November 8th and December 13th. The special monthly event invites participants to take some time for themselves as they explore the Yarnover Truck at 5:00 pm and then participate in an hour-long yoga class. This is followed by a tarot card reading from the ladies of Fortune and Flow, which is then topped off with tastings at We Olive Wine Bar and The Cheese Shop. Participants receive a complimentary cocktail card for use at the Greenleaf Gourmet Chopshop.
Throughout the event, participants also enjoy kombucha tastings as well as talks at Farm & Culture Co. While the event is free, participants are asked to RSVP by visiting the Eventbrite and selecting the date you wish to participate. The event starts at 5:00 pm and ends at 8:00 pm, with yoga classes being offered at 6:00 pm and 7:00 pm. SOCO and The OC Mix is located at 3303 Hyland Avenue in Costa Mesa.
O.C. Supports Our Troops Annual Charity Golf Tournament
The O.C. Supports Our Troops Annual Charity Golf Tournament benefiting the Semper Fi Fund will take place on November 13th. Taking place for the sixth year in a row, the lively and inspiring event includes golf, hearty refreshments, inspiring guest speakers and both silent and live auctions designed to help raise funds and awareness of the Semper Fi Fund
The Semper Fi Fund is dedicated to providing immediate assistance and continuous support to injured men and women living in Southern California who have served in all branches of the U.S. Armed Forces. Since 2004, the organization has issued more than 85 grants totaling more than $145 million in assistance to service members and their families. 76 percent of the assistance has been distributed to those who are E5 and below. The organization is one of only two veteran nonprofit organizations to receive an A+ rating from CharityWatch.org, with its overhead averaging just 6 percent since its inception.
The previous five events have raised more than $1.3 million in donations, with 100 percent of the proceeds going to the 501(c)(3) nonprofit Semper Fi Fund. Anyone interested in sponsoring, donating or otherwise volunteering for the event can visit the event website. https://ocsot.com/ The event itself will take place at the beautiful Coto De Caza Country Club, which is located adjacent to the Saddleback Mountains at 25291 Vista Del Verde in Coto De Caza. The 5,000-acre private guard-gated community offers miles of unspoiled beauty and two Robert Trent Jr. championship layout courses. The club also boasts a 44,000-square-foot clubhouse, a racquet club with ten courts and an aquatic center featuring three pools.
