Who said that Halloween can?t be both fun and educational? With a number of museums, zoos and other organizations offering special Halloween events this year in Orange County, you and your family can easily enjoy a day of fun while learning something interesting in the process. To that end, here are a few fun and educational Halloween events taking place in Orange County in 2017.
Recorridos a pie encantados por Fullerton
Learn about Fullerton?s history while exploring why it is one of the most haunted cities in the area. Celebrating local legend while sharing stories about the city?s history, Haunted Fullerton Walking Tours take place Wednesdays and Thursdays from now until November 2nd and Mondays through Fridays October 16th through the 20th and October 23rd through the 27th starting at 6:00 pm.
?Ghost Hunters? meet at Fullerton Museum at 301 North Pomona Avenue to start their tours. Tours last approximately 2 ½ hours and cover approximately 1.5 miles, with some stair climbing included. The Halloween tour is $20 for museum members and $25 for the general public. The tour is not recommended for children under 13.
Boo en el zoológico
The Santa Anna Zoo will host Boo at the Zoo on October 21st, 22nd, 28th and the 29th from 5:30 pm until 8:30 pm. The family-friendly event will offer a ?Merry not Scary? atmosphere with safe trick-or-treating, storytelling, educational animal presentations and other entertainment. The fun will end each day with a grand finale costume parade. Meanwhile, older kids can enjoy a ?Teen Scream? haunted house. The Santa Ana Zoo is located at 1801 E. Chestnut Avenue in Santa Ana.
Mini Monstruos Bash

Discovery Cube Presenta: Ciencia espeluznante
Discovery Cube is presented Spooky Science from not until the end of the month. At this fun and educational event, participants will participate in hair-raising science lessons provided by some of the most famous monsters in the world. Spend time in Frankenstein?s lab, make slime and join in the Monster Academy Talent Show where monsters will showcase their hidden science talents. Discovery Cube is located at 2500 N. Main Street in Santa Ana.
