Reiche Vergangenheit

John J. Thompson, the first Anglo settler, arrived in 1876 and the Sedona post office was established in 1902. At this time there were a mere 55 residents. By the 1950s the population had increased to about 150, and it wasn?t until the 1960s that Sedona was wired for electricity. Most of the development seen in Sedona today was built in the 1980s and 1990s.
